Any point Anne might've been trying to make about Claudia being a metaphor for a disabled person who looks visibly young is thrown violently out the window as Louis does not view Claudia as an adult at the same time that he views her as a sexual being and his bride. Armand walking off into the sea was the funniest shit I'd ever read, though.

I'd read this gem when it came out in paperback, and I was 12 years old. I loved it so much, I did an except of the interview as a skit in camp that summer.
